Traktirs

Traktirs

The concept of a tavern appeared in Russia at the time of Peter I. The word “tavern” itself came from the Latin word tracto, which means “treat” in Russian. In other cultures, this concept is also found: in Poland traktjer – so long been called a diner employee, and in Italy trattoria – a small restaurant. In the Russian Empire, the inn was a roadside inn, an inn, with its own kitchen. In the old tavern, tired travelers could stop, sleep and satisfy hunger. Today, a tavern is an institution that stands in line with restaurants and bars. The decoration of the interiors of modern taverns is authentic, done under the old days, which allows guests to relax, but also to move to another era.
