Embankment of Tymaki is located in the central part of the city of Tver. It goes along the left bank of the river Tymaki from the central market to Sofya Perovskaya street. If you walk along the embankment of the Tymaki River, then undoubtedly pay attention to the Intercession Church – an architectural monument of the second half of the 18th century (the embankment of Tymaki, house 1a), the house of the clergy of the Intercession Church (the embankment of Tymaki, houses 1-5), the Nechaevs’ estate (the embankment of Tymaki , houses 31-32) – buildings built in the late 18th century. Between the Darkness and the Church of the Intercession there is a monument “Golovinsky Val” in honor of the mayor A.F. Golovinsky, who became famous not only for his charitable activities, but also for the construction of an earth wall that freed the city of Tver (namely, Zatmachye from floods).
