The Shrovetide week will begin on February 12th. Folk festivities will be held in all districts of Tver. On Sunday, February 18, in the City Garden will be the folk festivals “Wide Tver Carnival”. The holiday starts at 12 o’clock. On the stage will perform the best creative teams of Tver, their program “In Russia walk can!” Will present the participants of the military-patriotic club “Keepers of the World”.

By the tradition of the Maslenitsa Pulp, there will be rallies, fun and sport competitions “My Soul, Maslenitsa”. And the historical and reconstructive club “Druzhina” and the folklore and ethnographic club “White Wolf” are invited to the “Youth Fun”. Adherents of a healthy lifestyle will gather at the fountain in the City Garden, where the participants of the “Art-Profi Group” will conduct the program “In a healthy body – a healthy mind!”.

Another sporting event on this day will be the folk festival “TRP – one country, one team”. In addition, from 12 to 13 hours on the ice rink with artificial ice will be a friendly hockey “Match of Generations”, in which veterans of “TKhK” and hockey club “Tverichi” will take part.

The culmination of the holiday will be the burning of the stuffed pancake week, which will be held at 4 pm.
