FESTIVAL OF SLAVIC POETRY "SINGING LETTERS " (JUNE)

First International Festival of Slavic Poetry “Singing Letters” was held in the Upper Volga region in 2009, the capital of which is Tver since 2008. Since then, poets and translators from Russia, Bulgaria, Byelorussia, Macedonia, Poland and other countries gather annually on Tver soil. Within the framework of the festival, the best folklore groups represent their skills, it allowed to expand the scope of cultural cooperation between the Slavic countries. The annual festival “Singing Letters” is timed to the great holiday – the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture, this date unites participation in common roots and origins. Ancient Tver country, which has long been considered the soul and heart of Russia, serves yearly to establish cultural interaction in the Slavic world.
